Acquisition of Yuki by Visma

Visma, the European leader in cloud business solutions, takes over the all-in-one accounting platform, Yuki. This is Visma’s third strategic acquisition in the accountancy software market in a short period. With the acquisition of Yuki, Visma has immediately taken the lead in the market and now offers accountants the most innovative and complete cloud ecosystem.

Yuki was founded in 2007 and is active in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain with approximately 200 employees. Every day, more than 1,300 accountancy firms and around 100,000 entrepreneurs work with software from Yuki. Ten years ago, the founders set the innovation for the accountancy market in motion with the introduction of fully automated processing of accounts through intelligent document recognition. Since its introduction on the Belgian market in 2014, Yuki has grown into a unique challenger with the fastest growing cloud accounting solution that uniquely unites entrepreneurs and accountants.

“Yuki is super ambitious and wasn’t about to sell yet,” said Lucas Brentjens, CEO of The Yuki Company. “However, it became clear that with the recent acquisitions, Visma was going to completely change the landscape of cloud software for the accountancy portfolio. This combination offers many additional opportunities for accelerating our ambitions and driving further innovation in the accountancy market.”

“Yuki has brought to life the realization that accountants can and should go beyond the pure ‘compliance’ part of their profession, but also and above all should focus on creating added value for their customers,” said Marc Coppens, founder and CEO Yuki Belgium & Spain.

“We are extremely proud to welcome Yuki to our fast-growing Visma family. After the recent additions of Visionplanner and Nmbrs and now Yuki, three of the most innovative cloud leaders in the Dutch and Belgian accountancy domain have opted for Visma in a short time. With this, Visma offers the most complete and innovative accountancy cloud ecosystem in the Netherlands and Belgium. Through this cloud ecosystem, we will create a catalyst of value creation for customers about which we will share more shortly. ” says John Reynders, Country Director Visma Benelux.

Under the current name, Yuki continues its business activities as an independent organization. As part of the Visma family, it will also work with the other Visma companies in the accountancy ecosystem to create the flywheel of value creation for clients. There are no management changes involved in this acquisition.
